Our shakes, coffees and desserts are all vegan. Yes, we said vegan! In 2017 after personally making the switch we realized that vegan desserts were scarce, so we started making them. Anyone can make a dessert but for us it has to be delicious. After much effort and finally making that first good dozen, we bought a 1984 vintage airstream and Sweet Trail Bakery was born.

You can find us at Festivals and Special Events around the tri-state area. We are serving all of the classics and consistently adding new items. Check our calendar below to see where we will be next.
Small Trailer
Our second airstream is much smaller and even more vintage,1964. This one wants to party. Give us a call so we can pull up to your wedding or event with your personal favorites.

Every time we go out people ask us when and where they can get more. We get it, vegan desserts should be available every day, agreed. Stop by our café and try our take on vegan breakfast and lunch. MEET OUR TEAM
MCEMSARA
McEmsara pronounced “Mumsara” is the owner, pastry chef and self-proclaimed foodie at Sweet Trail Bakery.
The baking began in middle school but only as a hobby, for fun...and to eat. She has a BA from Montclair State University in Psychology, and has always loved working with people. She worked in social services for over 10 yrs, spending some of that time in Crisis Intervention which led her to event planning, as an outlet. Hospitality had always been a passion of hers but combining people and desserts is the best of both worlds.
For health reasons in 2017 McEmsara decided to become a vegetarian. After doing that for a year the plan was to try veganism for a few months but after a heightened sense of consciousness and expanded knowledge she never turned back. Becoming a vegan only intensified her pursuit of good food.
At the time, excellent food was an easy find, but comparable vegan desserts were in short supply. She was searching for the kind of desserts that demand another taste, the ones that stay etched in your "food memory.” So eventually she began to make them.
MARIE
Marie is our Associate Manager at Sweet Trail Bakery. Marie supports our team through the management of our clerical and hospitality tasks.
She lights up when interacting with customers and while some would call office work a drag, she gets excited.
Before starting with STB she helped families as a childcare professional for six years, served over 300 hours in multiple communities as an AmeriCorps Bonner Leader and received a degree in Public Health from Montclair State University.
What does Marie love? Handwritten cards, babies, small gestures of kindness but nothing more than coffee.

Business Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm
Saturday 8:00am - 4:00pm
Most orders will be ready for pick up in 2 business days when placed between Monday - Thursday.
Depending on the complexity, most orders placed on Saturday will be ready by Tuesday.
Quantity: Sold by the dozen
When selecting flavors there is a two flavor maximum. You can either order twelve of one flavor or have six of two different flavors
Flavors: Vanilla, Red velvet, Oreo, Coconut, Matcha, Strawberry, Chocolate, Pumpkin Spice (Seasonal), Mint Chocolate (Seasonal), and Lemon Blueberry
